Tell us more: The People's Voice Initiative is a nonpartisan educational resource built for the 2026 midterms. It frames voting as a civic responsibility worth carrying, and walks a visitor through the full process: checking registration, reviewing a sample ballot, planning how to vote, and casting and verifying a ballot.

The site is privacy-first by design. It collects no visitor or voter data, requires no login to read the guide, sets no tracking cookies, and runs no analytics on end users. Each visit begins fresh. The content is managed through a backend platform for editing, but no personal information about readers is ever stored or shared.

It takes no donations, runs no fundraising, and holds no political affiliation. It exists purely as a public good — a single clear path for the people most often left out of civic tech: those who can't afford a paywall, who are wary of being tracked, and who need one guided walkthrough rather than a maze of links.

I know your work well enough to know it isn't about elections. Your mission is making government services work for the people who need them most — and that's exactly why I'm writing to you rather than to an elections organization. The people your work serves are, in many cases, the same people who feel government doesn't hear them, and who never make it onto the voter rolls. I'm trying to reach those people. I'm not trying to overlap what you do; I'm trying to send more people toward civic participation who might otherwise stay outside it.

What I'd value from you is simple: any advice, or referrals to the right organizations, on how to reach underserved communities with a nonpartisan voter-education resource. You know these populations, and the networks that serve them, far better than I do. If there's a community organization, a local partner, or even a person I should be talking to instead, I'd be grateful for the direction.

I see Vote411 and this project as two on-ramps to the same destination. Where Vote411 helps voters compare candidates and find their ballot, our site focuses on the journey itself: framing the act of voting as a civic asset and guiding people, step by step, from registration through to casting their ballot. The two efforts don't overlap so much as they connect — which is why our site already points readers outward to Vote411 in both our footer and our first article, rather than trying to rebuild what you do.

I should add — this is a personal project, built by one person who kept meeting voters who didn't know where to start. I'm not trying to rebuild what you and your partners have done well; I'm trying to send more people your way, better prepared.
